The first week of September was spent in Michigan at Grandpa Jim and Granny Pat's house for Aunt Julie's wedding. We arrived several days early for the festivities, and Jadyn had a total blast playing with other kids (the junior bridesmaids, her cousins) who were around for the event. She was the flower girl for the occasion, and she embraced the visit to the hair salon for the up-do and the gorgeous fancy dress as a flower girl should.

She loved Aunt Julie's bridal gown, and she completely wiped herself out with all the dancing, fun, and new people. A great time was had by all!

Here are a few photos of Joseph from during the week. He enjoyed the extra attention and was his usual easy-going self through the flights and car rides, the 3 hour time change, all the new faces, etc. What a trooper!

It was so good to spend time with loving family! Our return to Seattle was a return to reality: school for Jenny, Jadyn, and Joseph. Big sigh. But what a nice summer we've had!
